When designing a plant border, I conduct a thorough analysis of the garden, evaluating its strengths and identifying areas for improvement. I take my time in considering the best plant selection for each project, bringing together inspiring planting combinations that combine complementary and contrasting leaf texture, plant form, flowers, colour, and scent, to create a beautiful border with seasonal interest.

The final plant combination will feature a balance of contrasting and complementary tones, textures, and colours. Most selections will exhibit a rhythm with some repetitions in plant form, leaf, or colour, these help to unify the space.

We also prioritize selecting plants that support UK wildlife, including pollen-rich flowers for pollinators, and plants with berries or seeds to support wild birds.

Our services include delivering a planting plan with drawings, a plant list, and a care or maintenance guide with images to assist you in maintaining your new border. For an additional fee, we can often supply the plants and carry out the planting for you. Additionally, we offer seasonal maintenance visits to ensure that your border continues to please you, and one which remains healthy and vibrant.
